Cafe Epicure in Sarasota

I would give it 10 stars! The food and service was amazing! Walked by and decided to eat there and so glad we did! The staff is very professional and super friendly! Will definitely go back!

Love this place. Amazing food, incredible pizza, delicious salads. Great drinks, fun environment, awesome location. Can't go wrong here.

Epicure is a casual Italian bistro with an excellent location. The space is created as two rooms, one with a large bar and tables and the second with tables and a gelato and pastry case. The same menu is available in both rooms. The menu runs from starters to salads to pasta, pizza, entrees and deserts. Sandwiches are available for lunch. Coctails, beer and wine are well represented.The food is OK but not special.Service is friendly and helpful. The noise level in the room with the bar can be a bit high.

This place used to be better. After dealing with a couple of rude baristas and waitresses, we decided we won't be coming back. Quite sad, because we used to enjoy this restaurant before. I hope they take it seriously and improve their service because it is truly a lovely spot.

Really enjoyed the food here. We sat outside and enjoyed dining and people watching.

I didn't care for the Ravioli I ordered. It came with Basil that had black stuff all over it. I asked the waiter to please replace the garnish/basil and he said okay. Then he never came back.

We came twice, in our 3 day vacation to Sarasota. The food is really good, so is the service. The salads are very tasty, the blueberry mule (if you like a kind of spicy) is good. Pricing is fair.

Always a solid choice for authentic Italian cuisine in downtown Sarasota! The best bartender hands down.

Wow what a find. Great European cafe. Beautiful room and great small plates. Stopped in for a mid afternoon snack and were ever pleased. The buratta plate with roasted tomatoes was amazing. Happy hour wine prices were quite affordable. Will definitely go back.

This is the best pasta in all of Sarasota. Auethentic Italian quinine. These guys knock it out of the park every time. Will forever be my favorite lunch spot in Sarasota. Prices are high but reasonable for what you get. Bread and butter (with olive oil upon request). Fast and friendly service. AMAZING

Had a basic salad with sausage pizza. Thin crust cooked well but sausage was very under cooked or more like blanched, which is not what the waitress had described to my question about having the meat well done. Ambiance wasn't bad. Clean. Interesting clientele.

Service was a bit slow but the food was delicious!

Good drinks and service but food left a lot to be desired

I paid a couple of visits here when I was in Sarasota and it never failed to impress me. Their dessert range was incredible. The waiters were sooo friendly and were like tour guides in the making. Always a pleasure visiting Cafe Epicure. In my view, it's the best restaurant in the Main Street area. This was however, until I visited in 2016, and the food was nowhere near as good as I remembered from two years ago. I got the Marinara pizza and the amount of garlic on it was disgusting! The breasola was of low quality too.In the past, I have raved about the service here but this time it was awful. The waitress took ages to take our order and then I was given the wrong pizza after waiting for a while. She was very inattentive and this was not appreciated.

Good food good value VERY slow service

Lunch with Family yesterday. One of our family’s favorite Italian restaurants. Fab thin crust pizza! Love the Ensalata Tropical with abundant hearts of palm and avacado. Super appetizers and delicious dessert. Our waitress was so patient with our gang. Superb service!

Best Italian in Sarasota, always fresh, I feel like I am eating in Italy every time I am there. We have ate here over 20 times and each time is very special. Everyone we take to the restaurant loves it and always returns. This is our go to restaurant in Sarasota. Enjoy!

I’m Italian and I understand authentic Italian food and this place is over the top !! From their wine list to wood-fired pizza, fresh burrata, pasta and charcuterie you be more than satisfied !!

7pm: Very busy, noisy place. The outside seating area is not well kept, dirty, stained chairs, wait staff have many tables. We have been here several times and of late the salads have not been fresh, wilted lettuces, pasta is to chewy for my taste. You get bread in a basket with butter in the foil tossed in like a diner, and a side of olive tapenade. You will need to request olive oil and balsamic vinegar, it is not part of the bread & butter. The restaurant inside is not well kept either. They have a full bar, prices are NOT cheap for ravioli is $18.00. (High priced, small portions). Lots of kids running around, crowded bar, which I don't understand why all these guys at the bar have to stand and not sit. We all left saying this will be our last visit.

Excellent pizza... Alberto makes some of the best in town!!

LOVED MY OCTOPUS 🐙 and my mom loved her salmon. Dish presentation is good. The free bread and their olive spead was good too!! Will definitely go back for more octopus or to explore their menu. Excellent location. Our server could have been more attentive/faster.

Great service and food! Worthy of repeat

Great restaurant and bar. The food is great and the bar atmosphere is awesome. They have a couple TV's for sporting events, although that is not the main attraction at this bar. Tony the bartender is a great asset to this location and has a great bar tending personality. The pizza here is some of the best in town. I highly recommend Cafe Epicure to anyone looking for good food or a place to grab a drink.

Overpriced, and not enough food and dishes

I’m so boring because EVERY time I come here I get the same thing! I just can’t help it thought because it’s the best pizza in the world 🌎 Ask for Manuel, he loves treating his guests like kings and queens.

A very nice place with some amazing pizza choices and a full bar. Their pasta dishes are also superb. We are always seated quickly and the service is typically very good. There are plenty of vegetarian options.

The food is amazing and the service is second to none! Manuel is the best waiter on the planet!!

Really Great pasta, very average pizza, great server.

Service was excellent! They were quite busy for a Friday night, yet able to seat us promptly. The server was very knowledgeable about the menu and current specials. Drinks, appetizers and main course were brought out in a timely manner. Definitely recommend!

Pizza went downhill. Tastes like a supermarket pizza now. Disappointed

They make the worst lasagna I've ever tasted in my life. It tastes like chef boyardee ravioli. The only reason I'm not giving this place 1 * is that there espresso wasn't too bad. But as far as their food disappointed. I would recommend finding another Italian location. Perhaps their own baked goods are better

As usual the food was awesome! Authentic high quality Italian food! Miss Italy? Order the pizza from Cafe Epicure. The bartender was extremely fast and friendly, very pleasant. She served us quickly and with very nice attention and conversation. Great place for dinner, appetizers, drinks, or just plain old gelato.

Curtis, our server, was so patient with our big group. We had just won a tennis match and showed up between lunch and dinner. His eggplant Parmesan suggestion was on point and he took great care of us! We had a fantastic Saturday afternoon here!

Terrible customer service. Me and two others went in and sat at the bar it was quite we were winding down for the night and order some waters so we could decide what we were going to do. After about 10 mins some guy working the door comes over and tells the two girls I’m with that they will have to order a drink or leave. I could understand if they were packed but no one was really there and I can see why. Will never go here again and will make sure no one I know does either. Atmosphere means nothing if your treated like this.

Server did not complete our order. Told him to remove the pizza from our bill that we did not receive. He still put it on the bill. Felt deceived. Would have like to have the manager to speak to regarding the service. Customer be ware of this service
